The Best Job in the World

30th June 2023 by Fiona Mobbs Leave a Comment

What’s in it for me?

There are many reasons I continue my colour and style work (15 years on from initial training). Apart from, as lots of people say about me, my passion for helping women increase their confidence (and compliments). I just love it when clients tell me how they’ve got a bargain, and it was a brilliant addition for them. Or, they found something they never would have considered before my input, which they now get compliments every time they wear/use it.

So, for me it’s the fact that I’ve made a positive difference, whether that’s in saving money, being resourceful, making choosing something brilliant for their wardrobe a doddle, or that they now enjoy shopping or getting dressed because it’s easier and they are confident they look great.

And, being a shopaholic myself, I have a legitimate reason to shop … for others as well as myself!

For me, this is the best job in the world. But the reason I keep going is my wonderful clients. I particularly love those that keep in touch with me, as I can continue to teach them something that will progress them to looking and feeling their best as they age and go through different life stages and events. Plus, I’m always learning and can share my new knowledge.

One of my favourite moments

One of my favourite moments was with a client in my studio many years ago (in the days when clients came to me). We had been discussing personal style and at the end of it I described some thigh length lace-up boots that I could see her in. She said “Oh, I’ve got some… but I don’t wear them!” I asked why not and we discussed that, then she said “You’ve just given me permission to be me.”

What a powerful statement and moment that was for me. I hadn’t realised up to that point that was exactly what I was doing!

What’s in it for my clients?

The client of course learns all sorts of things. Every session will take you on a journey of self-discovery, and how to convey that by your appearance. Rediscover items in your wardrobe that you’ve not been brave enough to wear; save money by shopping smarter and not buying things that in reality you’ll never wear.  Discover how to be your authentic self: inside and out. Comfortable to be what you want to be and showing that visually in the way you understand.

Are you wondering what will be in it for you?

So, if you’re wondering what you might gain from someone like me, why don’t you try it? I do have a money-back guarantee so you can feel confident you will gain what you want.

If you are a client of mine

And if you’re already a client of mine but haven’t contacted me for ages, please do, I’d love to hear from you. I may contact you if we’ve lost touch, so I hope you will be equally glad to hear from me. I’d love to know how it’s going for you.
