I often get asked questions about personal styling and colour analysis: Will you tell me I can't wear black any more? How long does it take? Will my colour season change in future? And many more like this! Hopefully I have addressed the most frequently asked questions in my answers below but please get in touch with me if you think of a question I haven't answered; it's always good to know what clients (and potential clients) are hesitant about! Thanks, Fiona.
There are various considerations. Here are some you may like to consider:
- location (if you want to meet face-to-face with your stylist);
- the services they provide;
- client testimonials - are there some that resonate with your needs?
- experience and professionalism of your stylist (are they demonstrating ongoing personal development for example);
- the experience promised to you;
- whether you would like to connect with them for a one-off experience or long-term relationship (if that's on offer);
- recommendations - has anyone else you know connected with them?
- awards and/or guarantees;
- price/options/packages.
The prices for my services are as follows.
Colour analysis - £199 per person
This is a 3-hour one-to-one consultation in person in your home, or 2 hours online followed by one hour in person at your home. It includes a wardrobe review for colour, where we discuss your clothes, a discussion about hair colour, makeup colours and accessories. You will also receive a seasonal colour swatch wallet to help you make choices in future AND a box of my new colour and style cards with reminders of the personalised colour consultation.
Workshops - £50 per person
My workshops are 2-hours, either in person or online, based on a particular topic. I limit attendance to four people only so we have plenty of time for individual questions. Please visit my workshops page to find the next dates and for discounts if you book more than one.
Wardrobe reviews - £95 per hour
Whether in person or online, you will also receive a box for my new (2024) colour and style cards containing your pertinent wardrobe review cards.
Shopping support – price varies depending on how you would like the support
I charge £99 per email (as I put lots of time and research into my emails); £95 per hour if we go shopping in person together or I can come to your home at a fixed fee of £250. The fixed fee includes fulfilling your shopping list and may include more than one visit, depending on the brief. We normally spend an hour discussing the chosen items not just for fit, but for colour and style. This is all done in the privacy of your own home.

I offer several options. The compact COLOUR ANALYSIS process takes 2 hours on Zoom with a few items from your wardrobe discussed, plus a 1 hour face-to-face (to finalise how to wear your season). This includes your colour swatch wallet, all for £150.
The more advanced COLOUR ANALYSIS process takes between 3 and 6 hours and involves a full wardrobe review in person, looking at your make-up and accessories, and includes your colour swatch wallet. This costs £325.
A personal STYLE consultation, a wardrobe review is included again, but this time looking at your clothes in terms of materials, colours, patterns and style. Not forgetting your accessories. Therefore, this consultation takes a minimum of four hours and can take up to eight hours in person, if you want that amount of time spent with you. It can be done in two sessions, and by Zoom if preferred. This costs £425.
I hope not! We are all unique so you want to create your unique, appropriate look. We work together and you will get ideas and learn YC&S preferred suppliers to bespoke items of clothing or accessories that will be right for you. You get unbiased advice but ultimately you choose what you wear. You are not forced to do anything you do not want to do.
It shouldn’t do! If you were correctly diagnosed, your skin pigmentation is the same from birth to death. However, the way in which you wear your season’s colours may vary as your body changes with age. This is why you should keep in touch with your personal stylist throughout your life, as they can help you adapt your look.
This is the most frequently asked question! Unfortunately it’s not good to guess and there is no obvious connection with eye or hair colour and a particular season. If there were you wouldn’t need a personal stylist.
Everyone has their own unique natural combination of skin tone, eye and hair colour. The seasonal system of colour analysis is easy to work with once you know what season is yours.
Not many people have successfully identified their season correctly, in fact many people are often surprised, so if you want to know yours for sure, book a consultation.
You will learn a lot more than your season, with Your Colour & Style.
Yes, that happened to me! I sat there seeing the big difference the Autumn colours made to me – making me look younger and healthier – but thinking I didn’t like the colours and would never have looked for them in the shops (hence having an entirely wrong wardrobe except for one cream blouse that I’d “worn to death”!) So, it took me at least six months many years ago to “get into” my colours. I absolutely love my wardrobe now, and can’t wait to open it in the morning. It bursts forth colour and makes me smile instantly. I have trouble picking – because there’s so much I love and want to wear.
Fortunately, there appears to be more colour around in the shops now, for every “season” whatever you are, so panic not. And, I will help you so you can transition (if necessary) more quickly and with ease. Where I incorporate viewing your wardrobe as part of the colour or style consultation, it is becoming clear that people often have much more that is good for them than I ever did, and they are pleasantly surprised. So please do not worry about that either!
There’s more to your appearance than discovering your best colours. If you have only been colour-analysed and stopped there you are missing quite a lot more! I have had several clients who have been to other stylists but not really understood what they were told. When they come to me they say afterwards that they “get it”. I will take the time you need to explain what you need to know to be able to work the information for you. Don’t forget, I offer a money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with my efforts – so there is no reason not to try me!
